Seattle's best pizza!

Zeek's Pizza in the Seattle area of Washington state has some of the best pizza I've ever tasted. Ever. Milano's in Ireland is the only one that tops it thus far for me!

I recently traveled to Seattle for a short vacation with some family. We flew in, checked into our hotel and walked a couple blocks to look for dinner. We happened upon Zeek's and we were so tired and so hungry we went in without reviews, recommendations, or any idea what to expect.

But what we had, topped all expectations.

First off, service was great. They asked if we had been there before and when we told them we hadn't they immediately gave us the run down of the place. They serve local beers only. Beers from microbreweries in the Oregon, Washington State area. When I couldn't decide between two, he brought out samples of each and let me choose which one I wanted for free. That's service! :)

We chose to have two pizzas to split between us and a large Greek salad (sans feta since I wasn't feeling the dairy) which was just what I needed after a day of travel. The Greek salad had the best dressing I've had on a Greek salad, it was acidic enough with plenty of lemon juice and vinegar, and enough oil to counter out too much acidity. The red onions were cut into large enough pieces that you could still taste the onions and enjoy the rest of the olives and greens without it being overpowering.

The two pizzas we had were great, one was called the Cherry Bomb (not just a great song anymore, eh?) that had talian sausage, sweet-hot roasted red peppers, parmesan, fresh basil layered over mozzarella and of course, tomato sauce.  The other pizza we tried was the Wood Butcher which had the tomato sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, italian sausage, mushrooms, green peppers, red onions and oregano.

The Cherry Bomb is on the left and the Wood Butcher is on the right. :)

All in all, delish!

Caio ma foodies!
